If your riding off road and likley to have a little tip over (and who is'nt?) its a good idea to loosen the clamps for your bar levers and mirrors. This will let them turn or rotate if they hit the ground and will help prevent them from breaking. Find the nuts and/or allen bolts that secure them and loosen them off 'til you can move them with your hands with some effort. Tighten them up one little bit more so you can't quite shift them by hand and your done.
Remember to take the tools you need to do this with you since they will require some more loosening to return them to their correct position when they do move.
