Learn The Essential Dual Sport Bike Techniques
Our Adventure Riding Foundations course is perfect for the person making the transition to a larger Dualsport from a street bike. The 2 day course will fill in any gaps that you may have on the tarmac and get you onto a level playing field so to speak. Then we link all the skills you need on the road to those that you need off road. Specifically the low speed manoeuvres on the loose stuff and some light tractor work on the fire trails. After all, the closer you get to an Adventure Ride destination the more challenging the terrain can get. A pity to spoil a great trip in the last half a day by having a small fall and braking your confidence, a lever, a peg or worse! Stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere is not anyone's idea of a good end to the day or even the trip.
Adventure Riding Foundations will give you the knowledge to identify and understand the challenges Adventure Riding can present you and the skills to tackle the situations that you will encounter. Sometimes it's knowing what you can't do or how not to do it that makes all the difference, particularly on a large Dualsport loaded with gear and supplies. When you finish the course you will know your capabilities AND your bikes and set yourself realistic challenges and get the enjoyment of achieving them. Topics covered in the 2 days are:
